Come and get addicted to all the shaded of blue at our Shibori 101 !
Learn about how Indigo vats are made and , how to clamp, fold and create your own beautiful patterns! Be warned this is ADDICTIVE and you will want to dye everything blue for a very long time after class!
When: Saturday 20th October 10.30am ’til 3pm
Where: The workshop will be held at the Home-Work Studio located at the rear of the car park at 7-11 Dawson St (opposite the Bruswick Pool). We’re in the big pink building!
Please wear clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting messy – we will provide aprons but the Indigo dye has a habit of getting on everything! The studio is warm when it’s warm outside and chilly when it’s cold so please dress to suit the weather.
Please bring your lunch otherwise we can point you in the direction of lots of local cafes. We will provide you with some items to dye but you are welcome to bring things from home too – make sure they are natural fibres and pre-wash them if you can, it is best to bring smaller items, nothing bigger than a scarf is perfect!
If you are unable to attend the workshop for whatever reason you are welcome to send a friend in your place. Unfortunately we are unable to offer swaps or refunds
