Learn the basics of the addictive art of punch needle, a form of traditional rug making, or giant embroidery - depending on how you look at it! We’ll be designing and making our own “punched” patches, perfect for putting on a jacket, cushion or tote. You’ll get everything you need to get (and keep) making, as well as all the skills, tips and tricks you need. Punch needle is a beautifully textural and limitless art form, kind of like painting with wool! Evie is an Auckland based designer and artist with a passion for textiles. She uses rug hooking techniques in non-traditional ways across her artworks and homewares.

During our creative stitching workshop sessions Fleur will share her favourite stitches & techniques for representing florals and using embroidery as a creative mark making tool. You'll get a hoop, needle, linen & threads to be able to continue stitching at camp & beyond.
